Sean Sutherland is a writer living in Jackson Heights Queens. He is a MacDowell Colony fellow and is currently studying with poet Lisa Bellamy at the Writers Studio in the West Village. He has enjoyed productions of his plays from the Stonington Opera House in his home state of Maine, to Los Angeles, to here in the city at the Ensemble Studio Theatre where his full length play, Mountains in the Bering was produced. Mountains in the Bering explores the disappearance of a crew member while out to sea in a factory trawler fishing vessel in the Bering Sea. He has self published a chapbook of haikus and short poems in 2009 entitled Forever In "The City, Forever Arriving". This spring his poem "Hail" was accepted to the special Kindle edition of the literary magazine Prick of The Spindle. He is one of the founding members of Verbal Supply Company.
